Week 25 - Father's Day

Beware of a large number of pictures on this post!!! I figured it would make up for the weeks I do a very small number!! I'm sure it comes as a complete surprise that I wanted to take pictures of Avery with Buddy this week. Luckily, Buddy agreed to a small photo session in which we would try to get a good family picture as well. I have this overwhelming desire to get a picture of the three of us before I get too big and before this little baby comes along. Unfortunately, doing this on my own is quite difficult with a 22 month old. It's usually hard enough when I'm behind the camera. We were able, however, to get a couple of "Ok" pictures of the three of us. All of them are a bit off but wonderful in their own way. I guess that's how life is with a toddler, right? Good thing is, I love all of the ones with Buddy! He's just such a wonderful Dad and his little girl loves him to pieces :)

They were looking for fish and birds here... while I was trying to get my tripod, remote and camera ready.

Take #1: Dang sun attacked our faces but I couldn't get over how adorable Avery looked in this picture. I just want to squeeze her.

Take #2: Buddy was getting Avery to say "Cheese" which apparently means he also has to make a silly cheesy smile. Haha, I still love it though.

Looking for those fishies and birdies again!

Buddy snapped a few while Avery and I were walking and he was clearly being bag dad!

He's a nice guy.. love going through images and finding ones he snuck in :)
Haha, silly little girl!!

I just love this series of pictures!!
Can't fake those smiles!!
Lately, tickling her armpits is the funniest thing in the world.
It looks like we are having a moment, but really, she's just playing with my necklace.
I love this little girl!!
Take #3: Figured we would try to give her kisses to get a smile at the camera. Naturally, she looked down and smiled.. stinker

Take #4: At least 2/3 of us are looking at the camera
Take #5: Still interested in that necklace. I guess I should have hung it around the camera!!

This is my favorite! I love when she rides on her Dad's shoulders!!!

Week 24 - Playtime

I'm not gonna lie, I ran out of time this week and just kind of took some pictures of Avery playing. I had just wiped off the chalkboard wall to do my weekly picture so, naturally, Avery was all about writing all over it. She has to write with two hands on the wall, a piece of chalk in each fist, so it gets messy fast! She has also been completely into her car lately along with her every growing love for books. Kid loves her books!!! She's even started to look at them right side up almost every time :) So, here are just a few playing pictures along with a weekly update picture. I just had to post this one because Avery actually looked and smiled this time... like a little cheeser!!! The pictures with her are 110% better than the ones without :)

"Hmmmm, what should I draw? A short line? or a long line?"

Clearly, Buddy was in playing with Avery at some point.. unless she learned quickly how to write.
I love how happy books make this little girl... and how much she loves that bean bag. Always nice to see something was worth purchasing :)
Just a different reading position.

Ridin' Dirty

Look at this CHEESER!!!!! Such a goofy girl!

Week 23 - Grampa's Birthday

I had all of these plans and goals to get a good picture of AJ with Grampa since it was his big birthday weekend at the Ranch this past weekend. As you can tell from the post, it didn't happen. I wanted to go on four-wheeler rides and hang out in the luscious green trees and grass but laziness and molar pain took over. Avery started getting her 2 year molars this weekend, just in time to go spend time at my parents'. The one ride that my Dad was able to take her on, we heard her crying from the time they left, until we could no longer hear the four-wheeler... and you can hear that thing from a LONG ways away. Luckily, on that ride, she ended up having a good time and came back with a smile on her face... just too bad I wasn't along to paparazzi out on them :) I decided to just go with the flow and see if I could get a good picture of her at some other point... which, naturally, came when we were eating birthday cake. You take one look at the tiny girl in these pictures and you can't even tell she has tiny, white, devilish mountains pushing through her gums. Birthday cake cures all!!! Happy Birthday, Dad!!! We love you and thank you for sharing your birthday cake :)

How much cake can we fit in our mouth?? Clearly, some cake escaped and latched onto her face, arms, hands... and come to find out, butt!

You just gotta have milk with chocolate cake!!

These things also made her forget about her teeth for a short period of time. Cake topping balloons, the best toy ever.

Haha, they make her so happy!

I couldn't decide which one of these cake speckled smiles was better... so... I put them both!! Haha, I think she is just so damn cute!!

Week 22 - My Minion

Ever since AJ was a tiny tiny bambino, Buddy and I have called her our Minion. I'm not quite sure why, seeing as she hasn't helped us steal the moon or anything, but the nickname kind of stuck. So, naturally, when Buddy saw a pair of Minion PJs, he just had to get them, even though they were 3T and Avery wasn't going to fit into them anytime soon. We ended up washing them and Buddy's impatience came through when he put them on her for bedtime. To our surprise, they fit! I'm thinking they would NOT have fit a normal 3 year old, our  tot is tiny! Either way, when I saw Buddy grabbing those PJs, I figured I should probably grab my camera at the same time! They are sure funny little things :) Plus, bedtime is just fun because she's so fresh and so clean clean and super lovey, even though our kisses now consist of her politely leaning in so we can kiss her :) We'll take it!!!

The chosen book of the night "The Foot Book" by Dr. Seuss

Somehow, we always end up reading the books upside down :)

Determined Minion
This was seconds before she politely leaned in so Daddy could give her a kiss... hence the pursed lips :)
