2016 Week 33 - Pears and Peaches, Peaches and Pears

Big weekend of canning (jarring) some delicious food this weekend!! After a little bit of yoga on the rocks, we went to the farmers market to get some yummy grub... a box of peaches, a few boxes of corn and some very large sunflowers. I decided it would be fun to take pictures of the process of canning the peaches and freezing the corn. Proved to be difficult to deal with the food, deal with the kids and take pictures. Multi-tasking at it's finest (even if it wasn't great ha) Also, I slacked on a week apparently, which I realized when putting the pics into folders. So, I'm making up for it with a large and in charge post this week!!!

The instruction manual

If this doesn't make your mouth water a little bit, you don't know delicious fruit.

This kid does.

Chillin' with the monkey Grammy Tammy gave her.

Someone also loves her olives.

First step

These two hooligans work really hard on the peaches.

Step two.

Skipped a few steps and now we are here.

How to keep a Bubba busy, give him a tiny bottle of  spices.

He will make fun noises and chew on it.

"Well Mother, I really do believe you should give me some peaches"

Those dimpled knuckles!!!!!!

Pumped that I agreed to the peaches

Stuffing the peaches in with those chubby boy hands.

Best part about canning and freezing food...

Eating it!

Those lips!!!!

Can't stuff them in fast enough

Then there's this kid

Checking herself out in the fridge.

Where's Avery?

Her favorite hiding place.

Little Bubs was teething... so we gave him a not yet ripe pear to gnaw on.

He digs it

Final product

Aren't they pretty?

Avery is in this phase (and I hope it lasts for a long time) where she likes to find "treasures." Sometimes, it's a random bottle cap, and sometimes it's a bunch of really cool actual treasures.

Her loot from a day at the ranch

Loves finding Sunflowers

It looks like a little apothecary station.

Almost gave her a tiny mudder so she could really make a business out of it.

She has her focus lips on.

Real life... who wouldn't want an apothecary that picks her nose?

Hanging out outside while Mom and Na shuck corn... It's CORN DAY!

Nightgown and boots

...and pigtails

On Sunday, we have roll-fees

Gotta keep an eye on this one when she's shucking corn... or she will just eat the corn.

BABY DEAN!!!!

Skipped a few steps here as well.... I love eating it at this stage!! MMMMMM

Mom doing the work, me, taking pictures
Fast forward to during the week and spending some time with my little girl. We recently ordered a Koala Crate and this was one of the projects that came in it!! SO fun.. only issue was keeping the little googly eyes out of Bryan's mouth! The horsey now doesn't get to have any eyes.
Horse Project

Working hard

Super pumped about the project

What focus she has

GOOGLY EYES!!!

Finished product and proud of it!
