Week 35 - Two Years of Cuteness

It has been my goal for a few weeks... maybe even months, to get out and get some 2 Year pictures taken of my monster. Our weekends have been so dang busy that we haven't really had the chance to do it. I knew we were going to head up to my parents' house this past weekend to participate in a fantasy football draft and knock out some corn freezing. It seemed like the perfect time to go snap some pictures of this crazy girl. Finding a time in the weekend when it wasn't hot as crap outside and Avery was in the mood for pictures was the next big step. I also needed to find a time that I could peel myself off of the couch :) We finally went out Sunday morning... dress and boots and piggies.. and I was able to get a few really good pics of Avery while she was playing. As you can see in almost every picture, she was having a great time collecting rocks. This kid is in love with rocks... and the act of throwing them in the lake! I figured her holding the rocks in the pictures was just one more way to document where she is right now... in a rock loving phase!! It's also super helpful that now, whenever she sees a camera, she looks at me and says "CHEEEEESE!!!" That cheese smile along with those piggies.... kid makes my heart explode :)

Looking off into the distance!

Goodness gracious.. this smile.. those cheeks... I can't get enough of her!

Who doesn't love walking through a field of flowers?

Saying cheese to the ground... still works!

CHEESE!!!

Just a few rocks for her collection

Gramma taught her how to put the rocks in her skirt so she could carry more at once :)

Showing off her skill

Not sure why she's making this face... but I love it

Glowing piggie boot shot!

Just a small taste of how happy the ranch makes her... just can't contain it!!! It makes me so happy!

I'm tellin' ya.. the "Cheese" thing is golden

My happy, beautiful little two year old!!

Week 34 - The Loot!

It's the Monday after Avery's big two year birthday and that means.... a day to play with the stuff she got!!! I love watching her have such a new and excited interest in all of the new toys and coloring books and puzzles! It's also very helpful when she is able to play and have fun by herself while I'm working. So, I drug her new table out to the living room along with her coloring books and such. At one point, I looked over to check on her and realized that I needed to get my camera and snap some pictures of her playing.
Just a little aerial view.

There's just something about her sitting at that tiny table that is so adorable to me!

The artwork.... and Jesse's legs!

I'm going to assume she's reaching for the lid to her marker and proceeded to put it on the marker.

Playing with Jesse. One busy little girl playing with her new loot :)

Week 33 - One Adorable Two Year Old

It's official... Buddy and I now have a tiny two year old!! Everyone says the time flies but sheesh... it really does. I can't believe my tiny person is now TWO!! We decided this year, because of my preggo state, we would do something smaller than we did last year party wise. As it turns out, any celebration with a toddler can be a bit of a production!! Last year, for her bday, we got her a pool for the backyard. Lucky for her, we finally decided to blow it up... a year later :) The day turned out to be extremely hot so AJ and a couple of other tiny people that stopped by had fun in the water. I may have even dunked my feet in and laid back for a little bit.... all I needed was an ice cold beverage. One of my favorite parts of the day was when Avery's Aunty Brecca gave her her new Tricycle! Even though we were all sweating profusely, it was so much fun watching Avery learn how to ride her trike. We are still a bit unsure about how to push the pedals, but Avery LOVES the trike and really loves her helmet! In the end, even though I figured I would be able to take a BUNCH of pictures, I really wasn't able to take a ton. I did, however, take a bunch of her riding her trike, which is enough for me! Being focused on my little girl on her birthday is a good thing, too :)
Opening her helmet from Aunty Brecca!
"Sup Mom!!! Just riding my trike!"

Looking official.. with her feet NOT on the pedals :)

Ignore my husband's underwear... just focus on how cute the two of them trike riding is!

She completely hates her trike!

I could stare at this picture all day!! I love it!

"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

Aunty Brecca added a special touch to Avery's helmet.

Enjoying the sun and water!!! So stinking cute!

Turns out this slide doesn't work real well... but, it's super fun to climb up on!

Avery opening her present from Bah-Pah! Her handmade pitchfork so she can help Gramma at the ranch!!!

One of the many times we had to blow the candle out on her cake! This picture also features one of the stickers Avery got... and immediately put on my belly. Thanks to Dad for taking the picture. Happy Birthday, Little Girl!!!

Week 32 - Big Girl Room!

Two weeks in a row on time for this good ol' blog post!!! Pretty happy about that. It helps a lot when I'm doing something during the week that I want to take pictures of. We had plans to move Avery into her big girl room this Friday but then, whilst talking at work on Tuesday, decided we wanted to get the show on the road!!! So, last night we decided to have the big unveiling and show Avery her new room. She LOVED it!!! Big ol' smile on her face, walking around the room exploring everything, it was exactly the reaction I wanted. However, she was less inclined to actually spend the night in the awesome room. Maybe it was the big ol' bed, the new surroundings or the fact that it's just not what she's used to! So we are still a work in progress on that end but I'm so happy with how much she loves the room and I must say.. I agree with her :)
Reading a book in her reading nook :) Please ignore the food on her shirt... clearly most of her dinner made it there instead of her mouth.

It's exactly what I pictured!!

Clearly had to bring her stuffed animals along.

Leroy and her Lion (not sure if we named this guy) They had to make the move to the big girl room too!

Making herself at home

It's a little challenging getting onto the big girl bed... but it's possible!!

Week 31 - Let's Water Some Plants

As I have mentioned in the past, Avery LOVES water. So, naturally, when Buddy got the hose out to water our plants, Avery was right there to help him! At the time, I was trying to make dinner (grilling, all I do during the summer is grill) so I was running inside and outside and realized I needed to grab my camera. Luckily, Buddy was helping her water the plants for quite some time so I was able to snap a few pictures. She loves it! We clearly need to put her to work more often!

Watering some tiny little tomatoes... and by watering, Avery is clearly picking them.

Daddy showing Avery how to water the plants. Really, all she wants to do is make it spray!

Pure bliss whilst watering the beets!!!!
I also feel the need to share a few of my 30 week documentation pictures. Mostly, I had to share one in particular because it's HILARIOUS and then I figured I should share a normal one as well. I love having Avery in these pictures this time around :)

Hehe, look how cute that dang smile is!!!! CHEESE works every single time!!
Hahahahaha! Check out how happy that kid is!! Maybe she didn't think she was in the picture? Maybe she really wanted some fruit snacks? Either way, it's hilarious!
