Week 42 - Pumpkins, Cows and My Family of Four

It was really fun going through the pictures this week for the post. We had another weekend at the Ranch and I actually impressed myself by having my camera handy almost the whole time. We had planned to head up to the ranch the weekend after Bryan was born because Buddy was needed to work on the cows and it was a good opportunity to introduce Bryan to a place that will probably become his favorite place to visit. We headed up there early to go to the pumpkin patch and pick a few pumpkins with Gramma and Grampa. It was a tish windy and chilly but Avery didn't care at all! We were able to pick some good pumpkins and head home to start our weekend. The next day was working cows day. While everyone worked on preg checking the cows, Avery watched on, jealous that she couldn't be in the corral with everyone. Unfortunately, she was stuck on the outside with boring ol' mom or Aunty Julie. It makes me anxious how fearless she is.... ready to jump in and help with the big cooooows! I love it.
After the excitement, I figured it would be the perfect time to get some new family of four pictures. So we packed up and headed out to a new little location and set my mom up to take some pictures. Naturally, Avery had a different idea of how the shoot would go. Her molars were pissing her off and she only wanted to play with the cow bones we found so taking a picture was clearly the worst idea in the world. Luckily, my mom was a quick clicker and we are able to get a couple of good ones... along with some good screaming ones :) Such a great weekend, even if we had two crabby patties (Buddy was unimpressed we were taking pictures during the beginning of the LSU game.) Pretty happy with my tiny family of four!!

Carrying the pumpkin she found with Grampa! She's clearly on a mission.

Best buds at the pumpkin patch.

So proud of her pumpkin!

We forgot our Ergo baby carrier so my Mom and Dad brought theirs from 30 years ago. Buddy rocked it just as well as the modern one. I find this picture quite sexy :)

Four of my favorite people in the whole world!

Gotta have a black and white one!

Grampa and Avery in their own world.. .cheesing it up!!

My mom is killing it as a photog lately!

My little family :)

I sure wouldn't want her leading my cattle drive. Talk about a slave driver :)

Had to get on this wagon because of the "neigh".

Sometimes, I'm not sure how she knows how to do some of these things. Not sure where she learned how to make a horse go on a covered wagon, but she sure looks like she's done it before.

Watching and dreaming she could be in there helping out with working the cows.

Smiles!!! A rarity during this shoot!

I love her smiles!! !

This little girl love her tiny brother soooo much!!! I also love this picture!

This is how the rest of the shoot went. Note Buddy's face. He is thrilled

Gotta have a Daddy picture/

I just love this kid's hair!!!

So tiny in his arms. Loving his new little son.

Meanwhile, Gramma and AJ are checking out the cow bones. What a weird little girl.

Again, love this kid's hair!! So happy Buddy was able to take a couple pics of me and the tiny boy. I think he's pretty damn cute.

Week 41 - Ready, Set......

The weather has been so nice lately... maybe not as COOL as I want it to be but nice enough for us to have a great time playing outside. Sometimes, I take advantage of outside playing time and use it to get some work done inside while Avery is busy outside playing by herself of with her awesome Dad. However, it's my favorite thing to watch Buddy and Avery play together. So this day, I decided to plop my very preggo self down into a chair outside with my camera and snap some pictures of my two favorite people.

Buddy has been working on Avery's four point stance with her for quite sometime. She loves getting down into her stance when someone says "Ready, Set.." and then sprinting out of it when we say "GO!" She used to just squat down but now with a little direction from Dad.... "Hands on the ground"... she gets into position :) What's even MORE fun, is when Buddy gets into stance across from her and tackles her. This little girl's giggles really start to get going when they play this game. I couldn't keep myself from smiling even while just looking at these pictures! I love watching these two play!

A teaching moment.

A tackle moment

Ready.... Set....

Go!!!!!

I love this face!!

Showing her skillz

I'm sure she thinks she will escape her Daddy.

And she didn't.....the face of pure joy.

More pure joy!

A little change in sports.

Kid means business

Week 40 - Pregnancy Brain

Finally, I figured it was time to do a bit of catch up. This week, we decided we were going to go to a pumpkin patch in an attempt to walk our tiny boy out of his waterbed surroundings. I was also having this overwhelming feeling that I needed to spend time with AJ doing fun things before Bryan got here. Kind of like a last HOORAH!!! So I thought, this will be perfect! We can take AJ to do something special, I can get some good walking in and I can take my camera and get a great weekly picture! I guess accomplishing 66% of those tasks is pretty good. We got to the pumpkin patch, which is completely empty of other people, and I realized I had left my camera on the counter. The patch was a ton of fun because nobody was there and we kind of had the whole joint to ourselves. I was, however, able to take some picture on my phone. So, the choices this week were either skip this week (my first week to miss :( ) Or to just post the pictures from my phone. I decided on the latter!! I still took the pictures, just not a wonderful and awesome camera. Now I'm spoiled and only want to go to a pumpkin patch when nobody is there... my own private patch!! Unfortunately, I don't think that place exists. I love how much Avery loves doing these kind of holiday things!! My favorite time of the year!!!!

Sweet girl with her piggies and her new jacket

Such a goober!!! Love her little cheese face fitting through the whole.

I will go my whole life trying to get a cuter picture than this!!! My goofy people!!

Corn Maze = Walk Bryan out

Walking usually turns to shoulder rides for the tiny girl.

I love these two so much!
