2019 - A Kindergarten Graduate (The First Time)

I can't believe I'm just NOW posting about the last day of school.... Avery starts school next week haha! But alas, here I am, behind on life. I even realized last week that Avery wasn't actually registered for school. We were approved for out of district acceptance and we worked with the counselor on whether or not she should pass the age limit and go to First Grade... but I never actually registered her. Oh well.. she's now registered for FULL DAY Kindergarten, which she is pumped about.. and I'm officially only a week away from doing another Chalkboard (if I can even find it).

This week was so crazy for us because Avery not only finished her first year of school, but we were packing the house up to move. The night before this was the last night the kids stayed at the house. To say I was an emotional wreck would be a complete understatement, it's got me all welled up just looking at these. But she was super pumped to not only be done with school but also to move on to new things. For a kid who doesn't roll with the punches well.. she crushed it :)

2019 - Girl's Trip

All of you loyal readers must be so surprised right now. That's right.. back after MONTHS. To say the past few months have been a complete shit-show would be an understatement. I finally got around to editing pictures from our "Girl's Trip" as Avery loves to call it, to California for my cousin's wedding.

After the wedding and on the way back to the airport, there was finally a break in the weekend rainstorm and we were able to officially show Avery the ocean. To say she was a fan would be an understatement. She would have stayed out there playing in the sand and running away from the water for DAYS. The waves were a bit of a surprise to her the first time as she didn't realize they would be coming at her so quickly haha. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful trip. Ocean and In-N-Out burger in one weekend - kid was on cloud nine!!!

A little hopscotch by the beach

First time at the ocean

Shoes immediately come off

Toes in the sand

In her happy place

The wave came so fast towards her feet...

And freaked her out a bit haha
