Such a fun and busy week we had this week. We tried to cram as much Halloween fun into the work week by baking cookies, decorating pumpkins and watching a LOT of Hocus Pocus! When the weekend came we were ready to take Halloween on with tutus and wings. We had full intentions of doing another family costume this year but adding the new family member made me a bit of a slacker. I did, however, get Avery's costume together as well as a half-assed portrayal of Fairy Gary for Buddy. Bryan was stuck wearing a hand me down Skeleton PJ that Avery wore during her first Halloween. I had intentions of dressing up as a fairy as well (to fit in) but I just didn't get it done in time. I guess we just needed a year off so that our costume next year will be THAT much more awesome.
I wanted so bad to get a picture of Avery going up to a house and ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door but never got one seeing as I was the one walking up to the door with her. Guess that will be on my to-do list for next year as well. She had such a wonderful time walking around and getting candy in her "pump." Each year is so much more fun with her as she starts to really realize what we are doing and now we get to do it all over again with Bryan. We ended up staying out a lot longer than we intended to so now we not only have Avery's candy to eat but a huge bag of candy that we didn't hand out to all of the poor and deserving children of our neighborhood. Oh well... guess it's time to put on that holiday weight, we will just start a bit early with Twixes and Snickers :)
The next day, we had Marshall's 3 year birthday party. I have been trying really hard to make sure my camera goes every where with us lately (nice timing now that we have a second child and THAT much more crap to carry.) I found myself at one point sitting on the stairs watching AJ play with Marshall and they were being adorable so, naturally, I really wished I had my camera. Luckily, this time, I actually had it!!! I just love the pictures of them playing together! Gotta love the backyard in November :)
