Week 51 - CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Christmas is obviously my favorite time of the year. I love being able to go out and spend so much time with my family and eat so much good food :) Before kids, I thought I loved it as much as I possibly could. Then last year I thought I could love it as much as I possibly could. Now with two kids and Avery totally wanting to be involved this year, I love it EVEN MORE!!!! She was so into it this year. She kind of understood what Santa is all about but she really understood that you get to rip a whole bunch of paper off packages and sometimes, those packages have really cool toys or penguin books. We were even lucky enough to have a white Christmas this year so we did some pretty awesome sledding. First, my Dad and Buddy hooked a feeder lid to the back of one of the four wheelers, but apparently Buddy is too big for that because the fourwheeler just kind of ..... spun out! In the end, we were hooked up to the truck... zooming along! Again, just one more thing that is so much more fun with my tiny people :)

Merry (now very late) Christmas!!!

Cookie decorating on Christmas Eve

Putting four bowls of frosting in front of a toddler is dangerous business.
.....for this reason!!! STRAIGHT into her mouth!

Everyone needs a little chips and dip!

I loved her reaching on her tippy toes!!!

She's so stinking cute!

Christmas morning. I'm sure you  can guess what part of the tree Avery decorated

This year, Santa brought Avery a castle with this really cool dragon. Who wouldn't run right to it and start playing?

SO EXCITED!

Uncle Willy brought a toy that flies so clearly, Avery was completely entranced by the toy.

She had to "hup" everyone open their presents

With her favorite guy!

Got a Mr/ Potato Head from Gramma and Grampa.. only a few of the parts are missing by now!

Such focus

Nothin' better than Christmas morning breakfast.

Sit n Spin action.!

Obviously, Silvermist had to go for a ride too!

That is a band of bells meant to go around a puppy dogs neck for Christmas. She also has the bands on her wrists and ankles that are meant to go around their paws. Probably her favorite "toys" of the weekend. We could always tell where she was.

Slightly devilish smile!
Our family of eight with one on the inside!!! Gotta love the Christmas pants!

Another one plus Barkley!

And another plus Gr-Gramma

He missed all of the present opening, but he got some quality time with Gramma!

Just a man and his pup

My favorite little krinkle nosed boy!!

Love those eyes!!!

Again, with this face!!

So happy!

Heading out to sled!

The snow snuit!!! One of the best purchases we made!!

I brought my camera out to take pictures and ended up in the sled!! Luckily, Buddy decided to take some!!

HERE WE GO!!

My mom and dad always tell me this story about going swimming in Glenwood when I was little about how I would go underwater and be smiling so big that water would get in my mouth. I somehow feel like it's my life goal to make Avery smile so big that she doesn't care if she gets water in her mouth (or snow)

Fresh tracks!!!

So much white!! It was at about this point that we started getting some snow in the face!!! Fun but COLD

Looking a bit like we are water skiing!

Wonder what they were talking about!

I had to put this one... Avery's face cracks me up!!

With two of her favorite people!

Three of MY favorite people!!!

CHEESE!

Buddy sat right down and folded the edges up on the feeder lid! He's much cooler than me!

I'm thinking it made them go faster!

This is probably the moment she was saying "DONE DONE!!!"

So, Buddy took some time on his own!

Going much faster than when he had the little girl with him! At times, I was sure my dad was trying to knock him off!

Conquered

So Happy!

The bottom of the lid after being attacked by Buddy's ass :)
